Discover Guided Ashtanga Yoga in Vevey through a dynamic, structured and accessible practice with Noopur.
Rooted in the traditional Ashtanga method, this class follows a progressive sequence of postures connected through breath and movement. Compared with our Ashtanga Foundations classes, Guided Ashtanga offers a more continuous rhythm, allowing you to experience the flow, concentration and meditative quality of the practice while still receiving clear guidance throughout the class.
You do not need to know the Ashtanga sequence by heart. Noopur guides the group step by step, making the practice suitable for students with some yoga experience as well as motivated beginners who are ready for a more dynamic class.

What to Expect - Each session includes:
• Warm-ups to prepare the body
• A guided Ashtanga sequence
• Breath-synchronized movement and transitions
• Traditional postures from the Ashtanga system
• Sanskrit names of the postures
• Progressive variations when needed
• Final relaxation to integrate the practice
Benefits of the Practice - Regular practice can help you:
• Build strength, stability and endurance
• Improve flexibility and mobility
• Develop balance and coordination
• Strengthen the core and upper body
• Improve concentration and body awareness
• Become more familiar with the traditional Ashtanga sequence
• Develop greater continuity between breath and movement
• Cultivate discipline, focus and a steady mind
A More Continuous Approach to Ashtanga
Guided Ashtanga sits naturally between a foundations class and a fully traditional Led Primary Series.
Rather than stopping frequently to explore every posture in detail, the class moves with greater continuity through selected sections of the Ashtanga sequence. Noopur guides each posture and transition, allowing students to gradually become more independent while maintaining an accessible and supportive atmosphere.
The complete Primary Series does not necessarily need to be practised in every class. The sequence can be adapted according to the experience and needs of the group, making the practice challenging enough to support progression without requiring students to already be advanced Ashtanga practitioners.
Who Is This Class For? This class is suitable for:
• Students with some previous yoga experience
• Curious and motivated beginners wishing to discover Ashtanga
• Students attending our Ashtanga Foundations classes who would like a more continuous practice
• Practitioners wishing to develop strength, stamina and concentration
• Experienced students who enjoy being guided through the Ashtanga sequence
• Anyone wishing to develop a regular and progressive Ashtanga practice
You do not need to know the sequence by heart before attending.
More experienced Ashtanga practitioners are also welcome, although students specifically looking for a complete traditional Led Primary Series or Mysore-style practice should know that this class maintains a progressive and inclusive approach.
